The increasing study of Spanish in English schools has necessitated the development of a simple text that can commonly be used. In this text, especially in the early choices, the language has been simplified so that reading can be initiated at a very early stage in the student's work. It was not considered necessary to supply additional notes, as the matter is simple and the vocabulary will provide all necessary information. All verb forms that occur in the text, either regular or irregular, have been introduced in the vocabulary.

El estudio cada vez mayor del Español en las escuelas de Inglés se ha hecho necesaria la elaboración de un texto de carácter más simples que los de uso común. En el presente texto, especialmente en las primeras selecciones, el lenguaje se ha simplificado de manera que la lectura puede ser iniciado en una etapa muy temprana en el trabajo del alumno. No se ha considerado necesario para abastecer las notas, ya que el asunto es simple y el vocabulario le suministre toda la información necesaria. Todas las formas verbales que ocurren en el texto, ya sea regular o irregular, se han introducido en el vocabulario.
